Laurens is having its Celebration Days on July 18 and 19. To get in the spirit of things, the museum put together a display of promotional items distributed by Laurens businesses throughout the years.  The exhibit, entitled "Place Your Ad Here," is at the Laurens Public Library. It includes playing cards, calendars, bean pots, bowls, plates, salt and pepper shakers, thermometers, hot pads, and pencils. You name it. There's even a coupon that can be redeemed for free ice cream on your birthday. Now there's a good idea! Wendy Hopkins also lent us a few items for the display. So check it out and see which of the businesses you remember. It will be fun.
