Laurens Homes Tour

Connie Dallenbach  told students from Mrs. Ferguson's Housing and Interior Design class about the special features of the Lustron house on South 3rd. Street. Less than 2500 of these all-metal homes featuring low upkeep and efficient layouts were built following World War II. In the bargain each homeowner received a built-in dishwasher/ washing machine!

The Lustron house was one of a dozen houses in Laurens on the tour. The students searched the houses for architectural highlights they had studied during class time.
