Hands-on History for High School Class

Ms. Stover's American History class at Laurens-Marathon High School took a short walk to the museum  to see how their study of the Civil War intersected with local history. There they examined some Civil War artifacts used by men who later settled in the county. The items included Civil War guns, a bayonet, sword, cartridge and cap box, written letters, original photos and a prayer book carried throughout the war.
