Visit from Horizons Unlimited

We love having visitors at the museum, so we were so pleased when we were contacted by Horizons Unlimited to see if they could make a visit to the museum.

With an emphasis on hands-on history, the small group operated the loom, peeled an apple,  "shaved" an orange with an old time and very dull razor, looked through the stereoscope, played the piano and touched a horsehair blanket. The tour ended with a taste of an old-time sorghum cookie. It was a very sensory way to appreciate our displays.
